This spring, the AHC team attended two of the industry’s key exhibitions: CIDPEX in Nanjing and the Canton Fair Spring Edition in Guangzhou. Across both events, conversations with global buyers revealed a clear direction for the wet wipes industry in 2026.
At AHC, one of Asia’s leading wet wipes manufacturers, we observed growing demand for products that combine functionality, clean positioning and measurable innovation. These discussions closely reflected the latest market trends shaping the category this year.
One of the strongest trends discussed at both fairs was the evolution of wipes into skin care and treatment products. Buyers showed increasing interest in formulations with ceramides, probiotics and soothing active ingredients.
“Sophisticated formulations are becoming one of the biggest differentiators in the category,” shared Saket K., Global Accounts Director at AHC during CIDPEX. “Buyers are asking for wipes with ceramides, probiotics and soothing actives instead of simple cleansing formulas.”
This growing demand aligns with categories such as after-sun wipes, deodorant wipes, intimate wipes and 99 percent water formula wipes.
Industry data also supports this direction. The personal care wipes market reached 27 billion dollars in 2025 and is projected to grow significantly over the next decade.
Retailers and distributors are increasingly prioritizing premium positioning and sustainability. Buyers at both fairs frequently asked about fragrance-free formulas, biodegradable substrates and recyclable packaging options.
“Consumers are trading up to products that feel safer, cleaner and more specialized,” explained Prasun T., Accounts Director at AHC during the Canton Fair.
At the same time, sustainability conversations have become more technical. Buyers now ask about carbon reduction, plastic elimination and measurable environmental impact rather than general eco claims.
“At CIDPEX, many buyers focused on balancing sustainability with cost efficiency,” noted William R., Sales Manager at AHC. “They want practical solutions that are commercially realistic for their markets, and at AHC, we are ready to deliver exactly that.”
AHC showcased biodegradable spunlace materials, recyclable film, PCR packaging and plastic-free developments during both exhibitions.
Regulations around wipes continue tightening globally, especially regarding flushability claims, labeling requirements and plastic content. As a result, brands increasingly seek manufacturing partners with strong R&D and compliance capabilities.
This shift reflects one of the industry’s biggest transformations for 2026: innovation is now driven by formulation technology and functional claims rather than only substrate thickness.
As a global OEM and private label manufacturer, AHC continues supporting brands with scalable innovation, sustainable development and international compliance expertise.
If you missed meeting the AHC team in Nanjing or Guangzhou this year, we invite you to connect with us at the upcoming PLMA Amsterdam exhibition.
Our team will be there to discuss the latest wet wipes innovations, sustainability developments and OEM solutions shaping the future of the industry.
